Wasatch County primary election results:  Mitt Romney and John Curtis won big in the county.   Incumbent Wasatch County Attorney Scott Sweat defeated three challengers.  Marilyn Crittenden and Jeff Wade prevailed in the Wasatch County Council races.  And Eileen Gallagher has only ten more votes than Pat Vaughn in the Democratic primary for State Senate District 26.  However, Gallagher won by a wide enough margin in other counties to win the race.  She will challenge  Republican Ronald Winterton for retiring Senator Kevin Van Tassell's seat.

The Wasatch County Council Wednesday will consider a request to rezone a 20-acre parcel of land and amend the general plan so the applicant can move from the Central Planning Area to the South Planning Area, allowing for more density. Wasatch County property owners Sibyl Bogardus and Marilyn Crittenden talk about the letter they sent to Wasatch County Council and the process for the proposed general plan amendment. Eileen Dunn, president of the Kamas Valley Business Association, provides an update on her group. Finally, Rob DeBirke, policy director of Save Our Canyons, discusses a couple of issues, including helicopters and a proposed Mount Baldy tram at Alta.
