During Super Tuesday the state of Utah selected President Donald Trump as their choice for the Republican primary nomination. In the Democratic race Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders won the state and Wasatch County, but former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg was the winner in Summit County.

In the Democratic race Senator Bernie Sanders won the state’s delegates with 34% of the popular vote. Sanders was followed by former Vice President Joe Biden who captured 17% of Utah’s popular vote, and former mayor Mike Bloomberg with 16%.

Wasatch County Democratic Party

Members of the Wasatch Democratic party met Saturday morning for their party organizing convention.

Saturday morning’s meetings at Midway Town Hall had three main items on the agenda. Wasatch County Democrats heard a report on the state of the county party, members also elected executive committee officers and heard from speakers from the Utah Democratic Party’s issue caucus and state party candidates.

All county party leaders were reelected to their positions. Terri Goodall as the party chair, Jennifer Lee as vice chair and Steve Hoffman as treasurer.

The Wasatch County Democrats are holding their nominating convention this week.  It’s an open convention and they are inviting all Wasatch Residents to attend.  Carolyn Murray has this:
