Brighton Estates cabin a "total loss" after fire

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

A fire at a remote cabin was reported Friday evening in the Brighton Estates neighborhood, in Wasatch County close to the Summit County line.

The unoccupied cabin ended up being "a total loss" as a result of the fire, according to Wasatch Fire District.

Wasatch County Search & Rescue

Wasatch Fire reported that there was "very limited access," and they required the help of the search and rescue crews. S & R transported the firefighters to the cabin via snowmobiles and UTVs.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated. No other structures were exposed or threatened, according to Wasatch Fire.
