We continue our series about the 2019 Binational Conference for artists of Mexican ancestry based in the United States by the Mexican Government organization Institute for Mexicans in the Exterior (IME) where they invited 43 artists representing 36 states in the U.S.
Claudia Montero is a visual artist who uses her art to express what she refers to the "fragmentation of her reality" due to the fact that she has lived in so many places, and held so many posts. She also develops art made from found objects. We also talk about the Call for Artists organized by the IME and the participants of the Binational Conference to create a mural of different artists' representations of skulls to create a Tzompantli which will be shown across all the Mexican Consulates around the world and other government offices.
Claudia was selected among 43 others and attended a conference in Mexico City in 2019 where they all met with government officials and had a chance to sample some of amazing arwork and history that Mexico City offers including over 150 museums, historical sites, and much more.

Claudia Montero es una artista plastica quien usa su arte para expresar a lo que ella refiere ser la "fragmentación de su realidad" debido a que ha vivido en tantos lugares, y ha tenido muchos puestos. Ella también desarrolla arte de objetos encontrados. También charlamos de la convocatoria para artistas organizada por el IME y los participantes de la Jornada Binacional 2019 para crear un mural de representaciones de diferentes artistas de calaveras para crear un Tzompantli cual será mostrado a través de todos los Consulados Mexicanos alrededor del mundo y otras oficinas gubernamentales.
Claudia fué seleccionada con aproximadamente 43 artistas quienes acudieron una conferencia donde conocieron a oficiales del gobierno de México, y la oportunidad de probar un poco de México, y la oportunidad de probar un poco del asombroso arte que ofrece la ciudad de México, incluyendo a mas de 150 museos, sitios historicos, y mucho más.
