Cada Domingo - Hermanas Luum Maria Elena and Josefina & Clara Amezcua - 05-30-21

Artes de México en Utah hosted presentations by Mexican and Indigenous artists. Maria Elena Luum and her sister Josefina Gomez, representatives of the Luum Collective, an indigenous women collective located in Uzschuc, Chiapas, along with Piñata Artist Clara Amezcua join us to talk about their presentations during the 2021 Living Traditions Festival held in Salt Lake City in May. We spend the hour talking about the importance of keeping these traditions alive, what they represent, and how they contribute to the identity of everyone who participates in their creation.
