Recycle Utah invites Summit County residents to take advantage of a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, April 27, 2023 from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Canyons Cabriolet parking lot.
The goal is to keep toxic chemicals and heavy metals out of our environment. When toxic materials like mercury, lead, and pesticides end up in the landfill they seep into the ground and into your drinking water.
Examples of what you can bring to the hazardous waste drop off include paints, solvents, motor oil and antifreeze, household cleaners, fertilizers, pesticides, pool/spa chemicals, electronic waste like old cell phones, TVs, and laptops, pharmaceuticals - and matresses (for $20/item fee).
Open to Summit County Residents only. NO businesses and yes, we can tell if you’re a business!

Snow is vital to life on earth. This hands-on science exhibition is about the nature and wonder of snow and the impact of climate change on our planet. The interactive and exhibition follows snow’s journey from tiny crystals to winter landscapes to spring snowmelt. Guests explore how snow shapes and sustains life on Earth as well as the cultural and personal value of snow. Esta exhibición está disponible en español.
Kimball Art's exhibit "Under Construction" will be open from March 8-May 26 from 10:00-5:00 pm. The exhibit brings together the work of two renowned built landscape photographers. Lewis Baltz (1945-2014), captured Park City's rapid growth in the late 1970s as his images of Prospector Park describe its dramatic transformation from a former mining town into a thriving ski resort. Artist Rodrigo Valenzuela in his series American-Type, responds today to Baltz's work. For more information, go to kimballartcenter.org

Perfect for those beginning their Spanish learning journey, this interactive, early literacy program will entertain and help them learn to read by building language skills in both English and Spanish through stories and songs. Ages 3-6. Younger siblings are welcome.
La biblioteca de Park City presenta cuentos bilingües en familia- Perfecto para quienes estén comenzando su viaje de aprendizaje del español o del inglés, este programa interactivo facilita la alfabetización temprana en ambos idiomas y fomenta el desarrollo de las habilidades lingüísticas a través de cuentos y canciones. Runners of all ages are invited to participate in the annual "I Can Do Hard Things" 5K run at Wasatch High School on Saturday, April 27. This event raises money for Wasatch PEAK, a nonprofit that provides educational, recreational and employment opportunities for individuals with unique abilities and special needs in the Heber Valley.
In addition to the 5K on April 27, there will be an online auction starting on April 20.
