Park City Ski and Snowboard Hires New Director
Park City Ski and Snowboard has a new Executive Director – after long time director Jesse Hunt left for a job on the national team this spring. KPCW’s Leslie Thatcher has more.
Park City resident John Kanarowski has been hired to serve as the new Executive Director. According to a letter sent out to the club’s membership, Board Chairman Brent Nixon wrote that Kanarowski not only comes to PCSS with an impressive business resume, but he is well versed with the program, having family – two children, as well as a niece and a nephew – already enrolled in the club’s programs.
With degrees from Dartmouth, UC Berkley and MBA from Harvard Business Schoo,l Kanarowski has spent most of his career in business management and development and brings a broad set of leadership, strategy, operations and marketing skills to the table.
In a prepared statement, Kanarowski said he’s honored to join as Executive Director. He says he’s passionate about the mission and the lifelong lessons the programs teach.
Kanarowski will be assuming his full-time duties about July 9th. KPCW will be talking to him on the Local News Hour on Friday at 8:15 a.m.
