The Tour of Utah has released its final route for the seven days and more than 475 miles in August with two of the stages here  in Park City.

Organizers of the 2019 Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah revealed details of the 15th annual race this week.  The tour will cover some 477 miles between August 12th and 18th and it remains completely in northern Utah for the duration.

A Prologue at Snowbird Resort kicks off the Tour on August 12th - then the action moves north to Cache County. Stage 1 will start and finish in North Logan City. Stage 2 runs from Brigham City to Powder Mountain. Stage 3 takes the racers to Antelope Island State Park to North Salt Lake. Stage 4 is an urban ride in Salt Lake City, Stage 5 starts and ends at the Canyons Village with some steep climbs takes of the Jordanelle and Browns Canyon as well as a climb through the Utah Olympic Park.

The final day, Stage 6 will start and finish on Park City’s Main St. in what has become the traditional conclusion of the Tour. The familiar course climbs Wolf Creek and Empire Pass and features more than 10,000 feet of climbing and a hair-raising descent down the backside of Empire Pass for a finish on Main Street.

During the seven days, cyclists will climb almost 38,000 feet in the race known as “America’s Toughest Stage Race.” The race features 13 classified climbs and 15 intermediate sprints throughout the prologue and six stages, with the major challenges for the overall contenders coming on Day 3 from Brigham City to Powder Mountain Resort and again during the Park City stage on the final day.
