Heber City is holding a Holiday celebration on Friday.
Heber residents are invited to the 4th annual Old-Fashioned Christmas on Heber’s Main Street this Friday. The party is located near City Hall near the intersection of Center and Main Street beginning at 5:30 pm and ending at 8:00. Heber Mayor Kellen Potter lays out some of the attractions at the event.
“There’s going to be pictures with Santa, live reindeer, cookie decorating, ice sculptures, scavenger hunt, food trucks, hay wagon rides, and face painting,” Mayor Potter said.
That all leads up to what City Manager Matt Brower described to the council as the apex event of the evening, that is the Tree Lighting at 7:30.
“We will start caroling with those in attendance at 7:30, and the lights will go on at 7:45,” Brower explained. “That’s kind of the apex of the evening.”
Shortly after the evergreen tree on the city block is lit the evening festivities will end. Brower said last year the city received great feedback regarding the event.
“We had tremendous feedback last year that this was a hallmark event for the community, and hopefully we'll repeat that again this year,” Brower continued. “So, I look forward to seeing you there.”
The event is free to the public.
