Summit County Health Department Website Crashes From Too Much Traffic

courtesy of Summit County

The Summit County Health Department website had so much traffic Thursday, the site crashed.  However, there are still websites where citizens can get information about COVID-19.

Derek Siddoway, Communication and Public Engagement Director for Summit County issued the following statement Friday:

"Due to traffic volume, the health department website crashed yesterday at noon. IT has been working with our hosting service to increase the bandwidth on the website to handle the traffic and have been doing awesome work.

In the meantime, please visit/refer folks to www.summitcounty.org/coronavirus for updates and information. They can also visit www.coronavirus.utah.gov. We are working to have the health department forward to this site this morning, so it will hopefully be automatic soon."
