Wasatch County is reporting a fifth death due to complications from COVID-19.
The Utah Department of Health reported the death on Monday. The woman was between the ages of 65 and 84 and was a resident at a long-term care facility at the time of her death.
As of Monday morning, Wasatch County has had 615 cases of COVID-19, 25 of those have required hospitalization.
Summit County is reporting 815 cases, with 53 hospitalizations and one death.
The state is approaching the 50-thousand mark for total cases and 390 deaths. There are currently 230 people hospitalized in the state with COVID-19.
The state health department asks residents to be vigilant and take the basic measures to reduce the spread of the virus, such as practicing social distancing and wearing a mask in public and washing your hands.
