There will be a change in leadership at one of Park City’s largest employers. Deer Valley Resort announced they are appointing a new President and Chief Operating Officer.
The current president and COO, Todd Shallan, released a statement to staff Tuesday that he is changing positions within the company.
Alterra Mountain Resort which has owned Deer Valley for the past three years created a new department within the company called the Hospitality Division. The division will oversee Food & Beverage, Lodging and Club operations at all of Alterra’s resorts. Shallan announced his new position is COO of the division.
Shallan’s replacement, Jeremy Levitt, is currently the President and COO of CHM Heli-Skiing & Summer Adventures, which is based in Canada.
Levitt starts at Deer Valley October 19. Shallan said he will help with Levitt’s transition through most of November, and will continue to visit the resort in his new position.
