Midway City Council Considers High Power Transmission Line Approval

Midway City Council meets on Tuesday with a full agenda, including a public hearing and possible adoption of an ordinance amending the code for cannabis production. Open space preservation projects will be discussed, and The Council also plans to approve the settlement on the Rocky Mountain Power and Heber Light and Power transmission line project.

The meeting starts at 5 PM on Tuesday and is available to listen in electronically on midwaycityut.org.

In addition to approving the settlement agreement between Rocky Mountain and Heber Light and Power, the council will also consider approving an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit to install the South Transmission line along Stringtown Road and Wards Lane.

The Probst Farm Rural Preservation Subdivision located on 496 North Center Street could be given final approval. There will be a public hearing on this item.
Council will hold a public hearing and consider a budget amendment for FY 2021.
Utah public lands Executive Director Wendy Fisher will present a commitment letter discussing the preservation of the Albert Kohler Legacy Farm located at River Road and Burgi Lane.

Fisher will also present the Resolution 2020-38 / Gardner Legacy Preserve. There will be a discussion and possible approval demonstrating the intention of Midway City to preserve open space, located at approximately 1300
South on the east side of State Highway 113, to be known as the Gardner Legacy Preserve.

Huntleigh Woods and The Reserve at Midway subdivisions will be discussed with possible approvals along with Scotch Fields PUD, Phase 2 plat map approval.

There will be a public health update on the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the Department Reports. Public input on anything not on the agenda will be taken in the first part of the meeting, which begins at 5 PM.
