Popular mountain roads in the Wasatch Back have reopened for the season. The latest reopening is Mirror Lake Highway.
Mirror Lake Highway starts in Kamas, climbs into the Uintas and continues east into Wyoming, winding through popular destinations like Mirror Lake, Bald Mountain Pass and Provo River Falls along the way. The eastern part of the road into the Trial Lake area opened last month.
The Utah Department of Transportation expected to clear the snowy road by mid-June, but the road opened early due to warming temperatures and lower-than-usual snowpack. The full 42-mile stretch along S.R. 150 opened for the season Thursday.
The entirety of Guardsman Pass is also open, connecting Park City to Big Cottonwood Canyon.
