A car crash in Wasatch County has resulted in the death of a pickup driver.
Utah Highway Patrol reports that around 10:30 am on Friday a white Dodge Ram pickup was traveling on US 40 towards Strawberry Reservoir in Daniels Canyon.
Multiple witnesses told the highway patrol the driver was speeding and for unknown reasons the pickup sharply turned into the westbound lane of travel crossing a double yellow line. A large 30-foot semi box-truck was traveling towards Heber. The Dodge pickup truck impacted the front of the box truck at full speed and force.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was killed instantly. The driver of the box truck sustained serious injuries and was flown from the scene by medical helicopter. A passenger of the box truck sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance.
