Hearing In A Deafening World

Award-winning author and staff writer for The New Yorker David Owen joins The Mountain Life. Two-thirds of Americans over age 70 have some degree of hearing loss, yet it is a subject not often written about or talked about. Many people take their ears for granted, abusing them with loud restaurants, rock concerts, and Q-tips. And then, eventually, most of us start to go deaf. Owen shares his book, Volume Control: Hearing In A Deafening World.
