Summit County Councilmember Tonja Hanson explains a state fund that the council recently became aware of. Known as Utah's "Indigenous Aggravated Murder Defense Fund," it houses funds allocted by the state to cover costs for particular legal proceedings. Hanson explains how Summit County could gain access to the funds and how it intends to use them for an anticipated appeal in the Kouri Richins case.
