Power foods that trigger satiety, flush out calories, and ramp up metabolism

Dr. Neal Barnard, Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine, discusses his book "The Power Foods Diet," which outlines a new diet and plan offers an evidenced-based, food-as-medicine protocol for kickstarting weight loss and keeping it off. He says these foods first trigger satiety, taming your appetite so that you naturally eat less. Second, they trap calories in your digestive tract and carry them out with the waste. Third, they ramp up your metabolism, so you burn calories faster hour after hour. The result being a healthier weight, healthier cholesterol level, lower blood pressure, and healthier blood sugar.
