Doctors Jeffrey Lee and David Munday from the Park City Medical Center join The Mountain Life to talk about treating cancerous tumors with Brachytherapy. External beam radiation treatment of cancerous tumors has been a long-standing practice with side effects that are often traumatic and potentially debilitating. Resources, both financial and intellectual, continue to be allocated towards and focused on defeating cancers, resulting in refined and improved treatment and greater efficacy.

In the book,  Spy Secrets Can Save Your Life: A Former CIA Officer Reveals Safety and Survival Techniques to Keep You and Your Family Protected,  author Jason Hanson shares the counterintelligence and self-defense tactics he learned that are essential to everyday civilian life, including how to survive natural disasters, steps to increase cybersecurity, tips for safe travel from selecting plane seats to waving down taxis to best hotel practices, what to do if kidnapped or mugged, and how to protect your home from criminals and intruders.

Lynn Ware Peek is a long-time contributor to KPCW.
