The 2.08 mile Bitner Ranch Trail now gives bikers and pedestrians a safer, more accessible route from the Silver Creek Estates neighborhood to the Millennium and Rasmussen trails.
Also expected this year in the basin is a new parking lot and trailhead at the Run-a-Muk dog park and trail.
The unpaved parking lot will add 30 more parking spaces and a restroom.
