Weekend Programming Changes - Winter 2020/2021

Our job at KPCW is to provide you with engaging, and entertaining programming. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, our providers of public media content have made changes and additions to their offerings, expanding the library of shows we can bring to you. We are happy to announce none of the existing shows are leaving our air, and we are excited to announce a new edition to Saturdays. Read more below about these changes.

To view our entire program lineup, visit our schedule here.

All these changes are effective December 5th, 2020.

*NEW* Time Machine from The Current

Saturdays at 11 am

Time Machine from The Current® is a sonic journey across music history. Each week, host Bill DeVille takes you back to the sounds of a specific year with a carefully curated list of the best songs. Plus, he'll invite you to reexamine some deeper cuts as we look back on what happened that year in music, pop culture and the world. The Current is the noncommerical music station from Minnestota Public Radio, a division of American Public Media (APM).

*NEW DATE & TIME* TED Radio Hour

Saturdays at 10am

TED Radio Hour investigates the biggest questions of our time with the help of the world’s greatest thinkers. Can we preserve our humanity in the digital age? Where does creativity come from? And what's the secret to living longer? In each episode, host Manoush Zomorodi explores a big idea through a series of TED Talks and original interviews, inspiring us to learn more about the world, our communities, and most importantly, ourselves.

  *NEW TIME* American Routes

Sundays at 10 am - 12pm

Hosted by Nick Spritzer, American Routes is blues and jazz, gospel and soul, rockabilly and country, Cajun and swamp pop, Tejano, Latin… and beyond. Songs and stories from musicians describe a deep and diverse nation with sounds and styles shared by all Americans. From the bayous to the beltways, from crossroads to crosstown, on interstates and city streets, turn up your radio for the sonic journey!
