Police Search for Park City Resident Missing In Idaho

Blaine County Sheriff's Department

A Park City Resident went missing in Idaho after going on a hike.

Authorities think Fern Baird left for a hike in the Prairie Creek Area, north of Ketchum, Idaho, last Monday. Baird wasn’t reported missing until Thursday, according to a press release from the Blaine County Sheriff’s Department.

The department describes Baird as 5’5” and 115 pounds. They said Baird is an “experienced hiker but generally does not do technical hikes or mountaineering.”

Search and rescue crew members began looking in the area on Thursday and continued the search on Friday and Saturday.

The County’s Sheriff’s Department is not asking for volunteers to search the area at this time, but they are asking the public to call 208-788-5555 with any information.
