utah.gov

The Salt Lake City Veterans Administration is currently scheduling Veterans 65 years and older for the COVID-19 vaccine, which could help Summit and Wasatch counties extend their  limited supplies.

According to the  U.S. Census, there are 1,386 veterans living in Summit County and about 1,000 veterans living in Wasatch County. It's estimated about at least 14% of them are 65 and older.

According to an announcement on the VA Salt Lake City Health Care system website page, veterans who are 65 years and older and/or considered high risk due to a medical condition can now schedule their vaccine appointment.

The vaccines are free and require two doses given 28 days apart. When veterans call to schedule, they will be scheduled for both their first and second vaccines.

Veterans must be enrolled to receive the vaccine.

Here is the eligibility webiste and information on how to enroll.

The number for veterans to call and schedule an appointment is 801-582-1565. Ext. 5657.

The vaccine clinic is located at the Salt Lake City VA campus in Building 14.  Check in and appointment verification takes place in the main lobby entrance.
