Rocky Mountain Power is upgrading power lines and the Snyderville Basin Water Reclamation District is relining sewer pipes. After that construction is complete, the city will repave the trail.
All of the work is expected to be complete by October 15.
The city said to use the established detour, which reroutes people to the Farm Trail on the other side of state Route 224.
