Blues Hall Of Famer Charlie Musselwhite Plays The Egyptian This Weekend

Egyptian Theatre

Blues Music Hall of Fame inductee Charlie Musselwhite will play at the Egyptian Theatre this weekend.

Musselwhite plays in Park City Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 6:00 pm. He says although he plays Blues music, the show won’t leave attendees feeling melancholy.

“Well we play the Blues, but some people think that Blues is something sad but it's actually to get rid of that feeling,” Musselwhite explained. “It’s about being happy and having a good time. You can dance to it, or listen or, if you’re talented you could do both. We have a lot of fun.”

The electric blues harmonica player will be joined by his band.

“Well my band, they've been with me a long time,” Musselwhite continued. “Matt Stubbs on guitar, Randy Bermudes on bass, and June Core on the drums. They're really great musicians and they back me up really well. I can really always can count on them. We have so much fun on stage that the audience can't help but have fun. We love what we do, and we do it pretty good.”

The Blues Music Hall of Fame inductee and winner of 35 Blues Music Awards and 11 Grammy nominations says he plans to be available after the shows

“Be out in the lobby after the show to say hi to people, or sign autographs, or have a conversation, take pictures or whatever,” Musselwhite said. “It's always nice to meet the fans.”
