World record holder and professional mountain biker Keegan Swenson joins Lynn and Pete on The Mountain Life. Keegan is the most decorated cyclist to come out of Park City where he was born and raised. Now a Heber resident, he will tell the story of how he set a world record on Pine Canyon Road, between Midway and Bonanza Flat, several weeks ago, to raised money for MS.

Park City mountain biker Keegan Swenson was named to Team USA’s Olympic mountain biking long team for next year’s Tokyo Games on June 11. With competition on hold this summer and the Olympics postponed due to COVID-19, Swenson has had some adjusting to do.


For anyone in Park City, there is no shortage of opportunities to get out on a mountain bike. Pro mountain biker Keegan Swenson was an active kid growing up in town and said his career may have looked pretty different if he didn’t call the trails in Park City home.


SoHo Bike Fest

The Soldier Hollow Bike Festival runs Thursday through Sunday. They’re expecting more than 600 mountain bike racers, including some of the best riders in North America. It’ll showcase top level mountain bike racing as well as an abundance of activities.

Soldier Hollow Bike Fest Race Director and Director of the Summit Bike Club,  MJ Turner has organized the four-day mountain bike stage race. This will be the third year and he says it’s ranked as an S-1 event with UCI cycling.

Professional Mountain Biker, Keegan Swenson was born and raised in Park City. Last weekend, he took first place in a race that is one of the most competitive mountain bike events in pro off road racing.  Carolyn Murray has this.
