Heber City Police arrested a man after he stole a car while claiming to be an FBI agent. 

On Sunday afternoon 30-year-old Luke Menders approached another man at a 7-11 on Main street in Heber and asked for his keys. Heber City Police Detective Tammy Thacker explains Menders claim to the victim.

“He told the victim that he needed his car as part of an FBI operation.”

The man refused to give his keys to Menders, resulting in a confrontation.

A Heber City man was arrested after an argument with his roommates led to the man pulling out a gun. 

Kyle Louis Salber was arguing with his roommates when he pulled out a .40 Caliber handgun. According to a Facebook post by the Heber City Police department, Salber was intoxicated and using the gun to get his roommates to do what he wanted.

Officer arrived on the scene where Salber was taken into custody without incident.

A Wasatch High School student is in custody after a classmate alerted authorities Wednesday night that a fellow student was threatening gun violence on social media. KPCW’s Leslie Thatcher has more.

Following a police chase through Heber City Thursday, an 18 year old man crashed and landed upside down in to a home with occupants inside. Leslie Thatcher has the story.
