We resume our series about the Binational Journey for artists of Mexican ancestry based in the United States by The Mexican Government organization IME (Institute for Mexicans in the Exterior) where they invited 43 artists representing 36 states in the U.S. which was held in December of 2019

We chat with Dinorah Marquez Abadiano, a Mexican artist now living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dinorah is the Director for the Latino Arts Strings Program (LASP) with the United Community Center in Milwaukee. Her musical career started in El Paso, Texas. She has had a respectable career in music, participated with the Philharmonic of the Guanajuato Bay, The Orchestra of México in Mexico City, and the Camerata in the State of Veracruz in México. Under Dinorah's direction, the LASP began focusing on being the embassadors to Mexican and Hispanic music.

Dinorah was selected along with 42 others and attended a conference in Mexico City where they all met with government officials and had a chance to sample some of the amazing artwork and history that Mexico City offers, including over 150 museums, historical sites, and much more.
