Park City Miners Advance To The Title Game

Park City High School’s football team defeated Pine View High School 48-21 to advance to the state championship game next week.

The Miners defeated the Panthers, ranked fifth in the 4A division, due in part to scoring from five different players.

Dylan Bauer ran for two touchdowns. Quarterback Jack Skidmore also rushed for two touchdowns including a 70 yard run in the 2nd quarter. Skidmore also passed for two touchdowns one to Andrew Pederson and another to Mark McCurdy. Franklin Paas also had a rushing touchdown.

The undefeated Miners now have 13 wins on the season with zero losses. This means a shot at the state title and a perfect season next week.

The Miners next opponent will be the winner of the Sky View and Dixie high school game taking place this Friday. The winner of that matchup will play Park City High School in the title game. That matchup takes place on Friday, November 22nd at 11:00 am at Rice Eccles Stadium on the University of Utah’s campus.

If you are unable to attend the game, you can listen to KPCW’s live broadcast.

KPCW reporter David Boyle covers all things in the Heber Valley as well as sports and breaking news.
