After a 20 year stint as Executive Director of the Mountainlands Community Housing Trust, Scott Loomis is retiring, and his successor has been named.
During Scott Loomis’ 20 year career with Mountainlands – he is credited with doing more to ease the affordable housing shortage in our community than any other individual. During his 20 years, more than 600 affordable units - in a very challenging development environment - have been created.
Pat Matheson who has been the Director of Development Projects since 2017 will be succeeding Loomis as Ex. Director. He has served as Deputy Director for the past year. Steve Laurent, who has been with the trust since 2016 will serve as Managing Director.
Loomis is retiring on April 30th but will remain on staff as a consultant until 2022. He’ll be on the Local News Hour on Friday, Jan. 22, 2021.
