Deer Valley East Village

From new chair lifts to more hotels, construction is moving rapidly on the mountainside west of U.S. 40 ahead of Deer Valley East Village’s second ski season.

MIDA plans to budget about $274 million for its public infrastructure district in and around East Village in fiscal year 2026.

The Military Installation Development Authority, or MIDA, is the engine behind much of Wasatch County’s recent development boom near the Jordanelle Reservoir. As those projects near completion, county leaders are planning on thousands of homes and hotel rooms factoring into the region’s future.

As Wasatch County anticipates rapid growth around East Village and the Jordanelle Reservoir, leaders say they’re learning from their Park City neighbors.
