The Project for Deeper Understanding hosted its April Forum, inviting the public to take a look at the bill proposed by U.S. Rep. Rob Bishop (R-Utah Dist. 1) and U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz  (R-Utah Dist. 3). the Utah Public Lands Initiative website, featuring the draft bill. KPCW broadcast the entire forum live Tuesday night.

Join the 22nd annual Community Leadership Forum: this year featuring Women in Leadership, on Monday, March 14, at 7:00 PM at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium. 

KPCW’s own Leslie Thatcher will moderate a diverse panel of six exceedingly accomplished women as they discuss the dramatically changing role of female leaders in the 21st Century.

This is a free event open to the public and will be broadcast LIVE here on KPCW.

For the first time this winter, Park City Mountain Resort combined with Canyons Resort creating the county’s largest resort, but it hasn’t come without growing pains. Leslie Thatcher  has  the full interview.

During today's Local News Hour, Leslie Thatcher speaks with Summit County council member David Ure about the Wilderness proposal the council approved and that he helped formulate.  Not everyone supports the gondola connection between Canyons and Park City Mountain Resort and Leslie talks with three residents who submitted their concerns to the Park City planning commission. Finally, Evelyn Everton with the Utah Child Protection Registry warns parents about the risks of sharing too much information about their children online.

KPCW News Director Leslie Thatcher returns after a long, full, first weekend of Sundance to bring the next set of filmmakers on The Sundance Reel. Joined by the Executive Director of the Park City Film Series, Katy Wang, The Reel covers two documentaries and one narrative film, that all touch on different aspects of living with death.
