The Park City High School class of 2017 had blue sky with warm westerly winds for their graduation procession.  A few triangle caps flew off early as the senior class walked through the canopy of teachers as they made their way to their seats on Dozier field. Start Times, They Are a Changin'

The “start times” survey results were reviewed at Tuesday’s Park City School Board meeting.  They unanimously decided to implement the changes to school start times effective for the 2018/ 2019 school year.  Carolyn Murray has more on this story.  

Deadline for Park City School Board District 1 Applications is June 2nd.

Park City School District is taking applications for a District 1 board member to replace outgoing school board member Phil Kaplan.  His resignation from the Board of Education is effective June 9th. The newly named candidate will serve until December 2018.

Applications are accepted May 17th to June 2nd.  Candidates will be interviewed June 5th at 10 am at the District Offices in an open meeting.  A vote will be taken at the regularly scheduled June 6th School Board meeting at 9 am.

PCSD students attend Buildfest event at the Leonardo in SLC

A Park City 7th grader has a bicycle powered generator that is on exhibit at the Leonardo Museum in Salt Lake City over this Memorial Day weekend.  Carolyn Murray has more on this:

Young Artists Applications Due May 14th

Serious artists between the ages of 13 to 18, are encouraged to apply to the Kimball Art Center's Young Artists Program. The deadline is coming up and Carolyn Murray has the details.

A 57 million dollar school bond may be on November’s ballot for those living in the South Summit School District. They project 33 percent growth over the next five years and are nearly at capacity with their current student population.
