Hideout Annexation

Summit County sued the nearby town of Hideout back in 2020 for attempting to annex county land. The lawsuit ended up before the state’s highest court Monday morning.

The Utah Supreme Court will hear the Hideout annexation case on Monday, March 6, 2023, starting at 10 a.m.

Summit County is closing the door on part of its legal disputes with the neighboring town of Hideout. And that involves Hideout making a six-figure payment.

The Hideout Town Council voted Wednesday to file a formal protest against Park City’s proposed annexation of 1200 acres in Richardson Flat. But council members said they’re willing to pursue dialogue with a Park City government, which will have three new council members, and a new mayor, in January.
